About the event

Horsemanship Leadership Program Overview

This program is designed for students with intermediate to advanced riding skills, specifically those who are already comfortable cantering. Throughout the week, participants will deepen their understanding of horsemanship and develop their skills in various areas.

Program Components

  • Bits and Bitting: Students will learn about different types of bits, their functions, and how to select the appropriate bit for various horses and riding styles.

  • Understanding Horse Behavior: Participants will explore equine behavior, learning how to read a horse's body language and respond appropriately to their needs.

  • Advanced Western Skills: The program will cover advanced techniques in Western riding, including roping, barrel racing, and more.
